CONWAY - Friday, June 5, Movies at the Majestic presents Alfred Hitchcock’s “Vertigo” on the big screen of the Majestic Theatre in Conway Village. This is the third and last of Movies at the Majestic’s Hitchcock series. The film starts at 7 p.m.
“Vertigo,” released in 1958, is widely regarded as one of the greatest films ever made. It’s a haunting exploration of obsession, fear and identity. Set against the atmospheric backdrop of San Francisco, the story follows retired detective John "Scottie" Ferguson (James Stewart), who is forced into early retirement due to a crippling fear of heights. Hired by an old acquaintance to trail his wife Madeleine (Kim Novak), Scottie is captivated by her mysterious behavior, leading him into a dizzying downward spiral.
