CONWAY — The White Mountain Museum will be hosting Bob Cottrell, who will present a lecture titled “From Terror to Tourism.”
Commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Willey Slide and its effect on art and tourism in the Mount Washington Valley, Cottrell will be focusing on the impact the infamous Willey Slide had on thrusting North Conway and the White Mountains into the national spotlight. This one terrible event in 1826 still shapes our Valley to this day.
