CONWAY — Valley residents packed the Center Conway Baptist Church on Sunday to honor the memory of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was gunned down in Utah on Sept. 10. Speakers credited Kirk with inspiring them to debate respectfully and keep love in their hearts in a turbulent world.
Kirk, 31, was assassinated Sept. 10 during a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He lived in Arizona and led a non-profit organization called Turning Point USA, which advocated for conservative politics on college campuses. Kirk was known for his “Prove Me Wrong” debates with students.
