CONWAY — The Rotary Club of North Conway invites the public to join them in honoring 2025-26 Paul Harris Award honorees Sandy Ruka and Wendy Holmes for their commitment to Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self” at the annual awards meeting and dinner to be held at the Red Fox Bar and Grille in Jackson on Jan. 27.
According to Rotary foundation chair Evelyn Whelton, Ruka is being recognized for her four decades of leadership in nursing and hospice care. As executive director of Visiting Nurse Home Care & Hospice of Carroll County and Western Maine, she helped transform and expand local health-care access, while mentoring countless professionals. Her retirement in November capped a career defined by compassion, advocacy and innovation.
