CONWAY — For Ray Leavitt, opening Leavitt's Bakery was second nature. After all, he had been baking professionally since he was just 14 years old when he first began working for a small bakery in Bridgton, Maine, where he grew up. He has been busy honing his culinary talents ever since.
“The schedule was the hardest part, but you adapt to it.” Ray said. “I would go to work around 3 a.m. then go home around 6:30 a.m., get ready for school, attend my classes and then work until about 5:30 p.m. It was hard work, but I really enjoyed it."
