TAMWORTH — The building of a replacement barn at the Preserve at Chocorua is on track for an Aug. 1 completion, following a devastating fire that completely destroyed the original historic structure the night of Nov. 12.

“It’s coming together very well,” said Samantha Borowski, marketing director for the inn, and daughter of owners Mary and Ed Phelps, the couple who purchased the inn in December 2015.
