Kennett awards nearly $400,000 on Scholarship Night

Kennett High School held its annual senior awards program on Thursday evening to a full house in Seidenstuecker Gymnasium. This year nearly $400,000 in scholarships were awarded to a host of grateful students."It's amazing how much support there is in our community for education," Alenia Miles, director of guidance, who organized the evening and received a lovely bouquet of flowers for her efforts, said. "It makes you proud to live here. We had a wonderful evening the event seems to get bigger and bigger every year. I can remember when we first reached $100,000 in scholarships what a milestone that was.
