Four Conway residents indictedCharges range from rape to bad checks, drug possessionLoren BillingsOSSIPEE Four Conway residents and a Madison man were among those indicted by a Carroll County grand jury this month on charges ranging from rape to bad checks and possession and intent to sell drugs. In addition, a Massachusetts man is charged with negligent homicide in connection with a fatal car accident last February in Conway.Garry Quimby, 45, of Center Conway is charged with two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault. In September, he allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old girl in Chatham. The charges are Class A felonies. Each carries a sentence of 7 1/2 to 15 years in state prison.Holly Forman, 21, and Derek Bell, 19, both of Conway are each charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug with intent to sell. On July 23, they each allegedly had .92 ounces of marijuana in their possession with intent to sell as well as an unspecified number of 4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine tablets, commonly known as ecstasy. The marijuana charges carry a sentence of up to three years in state prison and a $25,000 fine. The ecstasy charges are Class B felonies carrying a sentence of 3 1/2 to 7 years in state prison and up to a $100,000 fine.Richard Hansbury, 34, of North Conway is charged with criminal threatening and attempted second degree assault. On Nov. 6 he allegedly approached a man while holding a knife in the air, stating he was going to kill him, and intending to cause him bodily harm.Both charges are Class B felonies. Each carries a sentence of 3 1/2 to 7 years in state prison.Timothy A. Kohler, 37, of Madison is charged with two felony counts of issuing a bad check, and one misdemeanor count.The felony counts allege that in July he issued two checks to B& L Transportation totaling $3,000 knowing the checks would be refused by the bank. The misdemeanor charge alleges he issued a $283.79 check in July to Wal-mart, knowing it would be refused by the bank.Each felony charge carries a sentence of 7 1/2 to 15 years in state prison. The Class B misdemeanor charge is punishable by a fine. William McQueen, 31, of Fall River, Mass. is charged with two counts of negligent homicide. Last Feb. 18, he allegedly killed a man after crossing the double yellow line on E. Side Drive while driving in excess of the speed limit and being under the influence of alcohol. One charge is Class A felony, which carries a sentence of 7 1/2 to 15 years in state prison . The second is a Class B felony, which carries a sentence of 3 1/2 to 7 years in state prison.Arraignments are in Carroll County Superior Court on Wednesday, Jan. 23.
