Laconia Savings Bank has announced the hiring of Evelyn M. Whelton to its team of mortgage lending professionals. Whelton will be a mortgage loan consultant focusing on the Mount Washington Valley area.Whelton has almost 20 years banking experience. Most recently she worked as a mortgage loan officer for Northway Bank.Whelton's background also includes retail and consumer banking. She holds a bachelor of science degree in business management and leadership from the College for Lifelong Learning. Whelton serves as a trustee of trust funds for the town of Madison, a board member for the Ham Ice Arena, a member of the Rotary Club of North Conway and an active affiliate with the White Mountain Board of Realtors.
