When I recently stopped in at Group 8  I was stuck by the colorful expressive work I was seeing for the first time. Three new artists have joined the group and they are exciting additions to this dynamic bunch. When you drive to the northern corner of Route 16 and 16B in Jackson, you can see the two signs for Group 8 as well as the Ellis River Studio. The members and volunteers have been beavering away renovating and updating their space for several years and, at least for most of the physical space, that phase is nearly complete. Housed in the pair of two brown stained shingle buildings, there is a brand new arts studio, Ellis River Arts Studio, LLC, adjacent to Group 8, which just opened this month.
