FRYEBURG, Maine — The Met: Live in HD, the Metropolitan Opera’s award-winning series of live high-definition cinema simulcasts, opens its 18th season on Saturday, Oct. 5, with a live transmission of Offenbach’s "Les Contes d’Hoffmann" at the Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center at 18 Bradley St. in Fryeburg, Maine, on the campus of Fryeburg Academy.
"Les Contes d’Hoffmann" stars acclaimed tenor Benjamin Bernheim in the title role of the tormented poet, alongside sopranos Erin Morley and Pretty Yende and mezzo-soprano Clementine Margaine.
