CONWAY — M&D Playhouse will be holding auditions for its first show of the 2019 season, “Lovers and Other Strangers” by Joseph Bologna and Renee Taylor, as directed by Dennis O’Neil, at 1857 White Mountain Highway in North Conway on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 5:30 p.m.

A hit on Broadway and later on film, this edition includes the popular sequence “Hal and Cathy” created for the film and played by Gig Young and Anne Jackson. The other stories include Brenda and Jerry in a planned seduction gone wrong.
