CONWAY — A record number of votes were cast in the 2026 Readers Choice balloting. The ballot closed Monday evening and the final vote tally was 162,731. They were 9,458 visits to the ballot. Last year's tally was 144,892.

The results will be revealed Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Cheese Louise in North Conway. "As one of the contest sponsors we're happy Cheese Louise agreed to host the party," Joyce Brothers, the contest’s manager and associate publisher of The Conway Daily Sun, which is running the contest. "We're also very grateful for the support from Erik Mogensen at Black Mountain, the presenting sponsor and Meredith Savings Bank, the gold sponsor."
