CONWAY — Sean Doherty saved his best performance of the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea for his final event, the 4X7.5 men’s relay on Friday. At 22, and the youngest member of the U.S. Biathlon team, the Center Conway resident helped the United States match its best finish ever in the Olympics with a sixth-place result.

Doherty started second for the U.S., and when he was tagged by current world champion Lowell Bailey, the red, white and blue was in 10th place. After he finished his leg, the best one of the four Americans, the United States was in sixth and in medal contention.
