CONWAY — The Kennett High softball team owns the seventh inning in the Division II playoffs. The 13th seeded Eagles have scored three runs in the seventh frame to win two straight tournament games against higher seeds to punch their tickets to the Final Four and the state semifinals.

The girls from Conway have turned into road warriors, beating No. 4 ranked Plymouth 5-2 on Wednesday to reach the quarterfinals, then they ousted No. 5 seeds St. Thomas 7-4 on Saturday. In both games, the Eagles broke open tied games with three-run seven innings and then shut their opponents out in the bottom of the seventh for the wins.
