FRYEBURG — The Fryeburg Academy girls’ basketball team is off and running. The Raiders opened their season on a winning note with an impressive 61-35 thumping of Biddeford on the road on Friday night. The veteran Raiders, who were undefeated in the preseason, led from wire-to-wire.

You never know how your team will come out in their first game, or whether as a coach you used the time wisely in preparation for the first test in the few practices you have with your team before the season starts. Well, it appears Coach Kristen Stacy has the blueprint for success.
