CONWAY — In August, Laura Cummings, who has been the proprietor of the White Birch Books bookstore in North Conway Village for 20 years, completed her ownership by purchasing the distinctive White Birch Books building from store founder Donna Urey.
In 1996, Urey and her late husband, David, purchased the residential building in North Conway Village that was being used as an office by what was then the First National Bank of Portsmouth.
