CONWAY — Selectmen at their Sept. 2 meeting unanimously OK’d the temporary loan of the former Engine No. 2 of the Conway Fire Department to the Effingham Fire Department through this spring.
Conway Fire recently replaced the 25-year-old with a 202, E-One Custom Pumper model that cost around $825,000 and will be paid for over five years. The money to buy it came from a town capital reserve account.
