MADISON — The Kennett High girls’ alpine team went on the road for the first time this season and narrowly held off Carroll County rival Kingswood by a point to take overall honors at King Pine Ski Area in East Madison on Friday. The host Knights won the morning giant slalom by a point, but the girls from Conway won the slalom in the afternoon by two points to head home with the team win.
Results for the boys in the GS were not available, but Portsmouth turned in a strong performance to dominate the slalom while Kingswood and Kennett were second and third, respectively.
