TURNER, Maine — The Fryeburg Academy football team traveled to Leavitt this past Friday night and crushed the four-time defending state champion Hornets 34-12.

Fryeburg coaches David Turner and David Jones saw something special in Ty Boone, and have played him in many positions in their games. Last Friday, it was halfback. Boone got the Raiders on the board first when what looked like a sweep left turned into a cut-back run to daylight and finally a cut to the North where there were no defenders resulting in a 70-yard touchdown run and after a Ricardo Ruiz extra point kick a 7-0 FA lead.
