FRYEBURG — Fryeburg Academy Athletic Director Sue Thurston asked senior Caroline Condon to share her thoughts on being a high school athlete at Fryeburg Academy at the fall sports awards night on Nov. 15.
“Caroline is in line to be a 12 sport athlete, having played field hockey, soccer, softball and run Indoor track,” Thurston said. “What makes her unique is that she has a variety of experiences in her four years here. She has played on rebuilding teams and played on some championship teams. She has felt the pressure that an individual sport athlete carries and the support that team sports carry. She has played on teams with her sister, Grace, who graduated last year, and played on teams with and without a sibling. She has been a starter, a swing player and a role player. She has had brand new coaches and some very seasoned coaches. So, I would invite Caroline Condon to open the evening.”
