CONWAY — It will be more than two great rivals squaring off when the Kennett High ice hockey team hosts Berlin at Ham Ice Arena on Wednesday night. The Eagles and Mountaineers are actually teaming up for Hockey Fights Cancer Night and plan to recognize two people who are fighting the disease.
“As a program, we've been wanting to do something in support of Camden Bailey,” said Michael Lane, Eagles’ head coach, of the Kennett High freshman who has been diagnosed with Osteosarcoma — a rare form of bone cancer. “The Baileys are such a great family. We want to show that we are on Camden’s side in his fight. We’ll have a donation bucket at the door and we’ll also give a portion of the gate to Baileys and half to Berlin for its cause (breast cancer awareness in February).”
