CONWAY — Practice makes perfect, and while the Kennett High softball team has been good, having played 11 games without once practicing on their home field it’s beginning to take a toll on the Eagles. Not being able to fine-tune or correct things have been difficult. KHS ran into a good Coe-Brown Northwood Academy team at home on Saturday and came out on the short end of a 4-2 scoreline.

“(Not being able to practice) on a field means there are little things you can’t work on,” Peter Ames, Eagles’ head coach, said on Monday. “Against Coe-Brown those were the types of things that hurt us. It’s not that you don’t know what to do but not getting that repetition makes it difficult.”
