CONWAY — For the second consecutive year the Mount Washington Valley U12 girls’ soccer team has won the 9 vs. 9 state championship. The hometown booters, seeded No. 3 in the New Hampshire Soccer League state championship tournament, knocked off the top two seeds in dramatic fashion to lift the trophy at the NHSA State Fields in Pembroke on Nov. 5.
“It was an incredible weekend,” said Coach Jenny Laine. “We won the Division III championship last year, got promoted to Division II this year, and the girls did it again. Every one of our kids played their hearts out.”
