Carroll County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a serious two-vehicle crash on the Kancamagus Highway west of Rocky Gorge at about 10 a.m. Friday.
Apparently, Fred Bassett, 66, of Northwood was attempting to pass a vehicle when his motorcycle crossed the double yellow linee and collided with a New Hampshire Department of Transportation pickup.
