TAMWORTH — The Cook Memorial Library last Saturday celebrated three major grant-funded projects this past year: a new rooftop solar array; a new ADA-certified lift (elevator); and the culmination of the library’s year as a Children’s Literacy Foundation (CLiF) Rural Library grant recipient.

The “grants party,” as the sign outside the library located at 93 Main St. in Tamworth Village coined the event, kicked off at noon, with about 35 attendees getting to check out the lift, admire the cart full of books bought with the CLiF grant, talk with members of the Tamworth Energy Committee and enjoy a light lunch of homemade goodies and a tray of sandwiches from Shaw’s.
