CONWAY — The Conway Parks and Recreation Department plans to offer an adult fitness class this fall.

“We are embarking on an adult fitness program to begin on Sept. 25,” said Director John Eastman. “This is a pilot program to see how popular it will be but I believe there is a need for adults to get out and exercise for here in the valley. The cost is very low and it figures out to $2 per class. We

are asking participants to pay the $30 fee for the (15) classes instead of registering for them individually.”

The course is called “Morning Medley.”

This instructor-led group fitness class includes a motivating mix of aerobics, resistance training, interval work and circuit training. Participants will build cardiorespiratory endurance, muscle strength and

flexibility while burning calories and improving body composition.

Beginners, exercise enthusiasts and all adults in between are welcome.

Class meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:15-10 a.m. beginning on Wednesday, Sept. 25 and ending on Wednesday, Oct. 30. There won’t be class on Monday, Oct. 14.

There are 15 classes for $30.

Participants are asked to bring an exercise mat for floor work.

Class size is limited.

“We will have registration forms listed on our website ( to be printed out,” Eastman said. “They must bring them to us in order to get on the sign-up list. We also will have forms here at the Conway Parks and Recreation Department office. Any questions about the program they may call us at (603) 447-5680.
