CONWAY — Despite having dropped three in a row and five of its last six games, the Kennett High girls basketball team enters the last week of the regular season in the playoff chase. The Eagles can guarantee themselves of post-season play by winning one of its final three ball games.

The girls from Conway put together a gutsy effort at Portsmouth on Friday night and actually led after three quarters only to see the Clippers go on a pair of late spurts to come out on top 42-28.
