BOSTON — Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston awarded $52.5 million in grants, loans and interest-rate subsidies through its Affordable Housing Program to support 40 affordable housing initiatives in New England and beyond.

These projects will create or preserve 1,246 rental and ownership units for individuals and families earning up to 80 percent of the area median income. As part of this funding round, New Hampshire received more than $9 million for 104 affordable units of rental housing in Conway, Keene and Portsmouth.
