On the first day of my winter vacation, I walked 5.6 flat miles in 80-degree temps and believe me, I am not complaining! It was hot, I was actually sweating, I was wearing shorts and a singlet, and it was wonderful. I love any type of winter sport, and I like to walk/run through the winter, but this year with the icy and narrowing roads, this is a treat. I can’t always get away to somewhere warm in the winter, but when I can, I always bring my running gear.
It’s baaack! The Bucks for Bernie Relay is returning this year with a new and exciting format. The relay will be held on July 20 in Whitaker Woods. The run will be a one-mile loop, beginning at 7 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m.
