A cold day on Carter Ledge Trail

This is a column I wrote in early December of 2015. It is interesting and heartening to compare the conditions on the ground with now — we have so much more beautiful snow now. Let’s appreciate it, and hope it continues through the winter.

That was the first year that the Hike Safe Card was available from N.H. Fish and Game, and I had a few thoughts about it on the trail back then. This is reminder to buy one if you so choose for 2019 before the New Year. It can be done online at: nhfishandgame.com/hikesafe.aspx?m=hs&s=2019.
