North Country Angling - Lana McHenry with fish

Every youngster who is interested in fishing needs a mentor. Someone to show them the ropes. Someone who can quicken the learning curve and get the fishing jones firmly planted in the psyche of the youngster.

In earlier times it was the dad, grandad or uncle who took the angler out and built a new foundation. In current times the male contingent has been joined by the mom, grandma or aunt. As we have said a thousand times, the fish doesn’t know who is on the other end of the line.
