Memorial Day weekend is the start of prime fishing time in the Mount Washington Valley. Anglers pursue a variety of fish with trout, bass, or pickerel, the primary targets of New Hampshire’s great gamefish.

Trout are the No. 1 focus for the stream anglers. The Saco River has been stocked by New Hampshire Fish and Game with brook trout, rainbow trout and brown trout. For the spin fish angler, there is no better place than the River Street bridge section of the river in Bartlett.
