The Fourth of July marks the midpoint of the freshwater fishing season. It marks the beginning of the summer vacation season. Back when we had factory manufacturing, this was when the factories would close for maintenance and model changeovers. This time was also the best fishing of the year.

For the next 10 days, the shop will be inundated with anglers looking for places to catch a few fish and perhaps a personal best. Let’s share a few places where one can go for a relaxing bit of fishing as we welcome summer.
