These rods are lighter and more accurate than the current G-series fly rods. Using CAD technology, Scott has reinforced the areas of the rod that stress the most while removing the weight where it was not needed. This design allowed for the ferrules to be cut down, making the rod more responsive when playing a fish. The final upgrade is in the epoxy used. This epoxy allows the rod to maintain its shape under load so that the fly goes exactly where you point the rod. Scott has made the decision to join the thousand-dollar rod club with this model, so the rod retails for $1,095.
