To the editor,

On June 16, the fifth grade class of the White Mountain Waldorf School held a cake auction as a fund-raiser for their eighth grade trip in 2012. It was a tremendous success and the class would like to thank everyone involved. The Conway Public Library generously provided the space, and the evening could never have been so successful or entertaining  without George Cleveland as our auctioneer extraordinary. Thanks are due to everyone who donated delectable deserts. Many were from Waldorf School families and friends and many from local businesses, including: As You Like It Bakery, Cakes by Rachel, Chinook Café, Delectables by Danette, Hannaford Supermarket, Leavitt’s Bakery, Old Village Bakery, Rock House Mountain Baker, Shaw’s Supermarket, and White Mountain Hotel. In all, 40 desserts were donated and sold and the class now has a great start on funding their trip. The fifth grade class appreciates the support of the community, all who helped with the auction, and all who purchased desserts.
