Back in the “snowless” winters of 1979-80 and 1980-81, it didn’t snow but the temperatures were seasonably cold, but even old timers don’t remember a winter like this one when by mid-winter the temperatures have been very mild. And, of course, the only two snowstorms of the year turned to rain. Those who believe in climate change say mild winters are just part of a long-term trend and in 20 or 30 years our climate will be like Pennsylvania’s. Climate deniers dismiss the unusual weather as just another random weather event.

This week’s TeleTalk question is: Do you think this winter’s mild temperatures indicates a change in the climate or is it just unusual weather?
