There were 26 responses to the Tele-Talk question, “Is it time to end the pig scrambles at the Fryeburg Fair?" Eight people said, yes, but everyone else who responded said the big scramble should stay.

I believe children of all ages love the pig scramble. Unlike Laura Slitt, I feel it’s wonderful to see kids have fun other than sitting in front of a TV. If a kid gets a pig, it teaches them responsibility and may even put food on their dinner table. Everyone wants to change everything just to give them something to talk about. I am 55 and most people my age are are respectful and work hard, and I was in the pig scramble when I was young, I raised the pig then my family ate it.
