To the editor:

Despite decades of atrocities and violations of humanitarian and international law, Israel’s subjugation of the people of Palestine has gone unquestioned in the West. We have heard the corporate media and politicians recite the same talking points about Israel’s right to defend itself ad infinitum. Palestinians, however, have never been afforded such consideration.

This is like the U S A and Canada where we share a border. Except we are at peace and know how to get along and live amicably. We respect each others borders and differences, and act in a way that allows the citizens of each side feel safe.

Isreal and the palestinians are kind of on the same situation of sharing a border, except there is no respect, and the palestinians crossed over the border, committed great atrocities upon the isreali citizens and kidnapped and still hold hostage a large number of them. If hamas and the palestinians were serious about peace, they would immediately free all of the hostages, appologize for the wrongs they did, ask for forgiveness, abolish hamas as a government, and negotiate a peaceful end to the painful and horrible war that they started.
