To the editor:

Global warming is an existential threat to our planet, and this fact has been confirmed by the vast majority of scientists and scientific organizations over the last decades. I was once skeptical of the early computer models that were presented in the 1980s to predict the effects of global warming. It turns out those models were too conservative.
