Katie Tharp: Wendy Richardson is strong, kind and independent

To the editor:

It is with much enthusiasm that I recommend Wendy Richardson for state representative in District 2. I have had the pleasure of having Mrs. Richardson as one of my closest friends for the past 33 years.

Since meeting in the third grade, I have been witness to Wendy and her wonderful qualities. She is fervent about every endeavor she takes on. Wendy has always stood up for what she believes in. She is a voice for others when they cannot be. She will tell you the truth, even if it's not what you want to hear. She holds herself to high standards, and teaches her children to do the right thing even when no one is watching.

Wendy has never held a political office before, but I believe that is what makes her the ideal candidate.

She wants to be the change that Carroll County needs. She brings to the table a fresh set of eyes, a clear picture of what to do to make her community a place where every resident and business has the chance to succeed. She became interested in politics to make the community better for not only her family, but all citizens. Wendy is passionate about the importance of educating and protecting our children and is looking forward to being an advocate for the educational system.

Mrs. Richardson is one of the strongest, kindest, most independent women I have known. I implore you to make the decision you won't regret, and vote for Mrs. Wendy Richardson this November.
