To the editor:

I would like to thank Sens. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan for moving the compromise legislation to reopen the government forward. Their actions demonstrate what the world’s greatest deliberative body can accomplish. I support their courage and concern for federal employees as well as SNAP and WIC benefits for those in need.

One way or another, whether it's now or in January, the Democrats will have to learn to stand up for themselves. Folding when they had all the leverage for an obviously empty promise to discuss later what the Democrats should have stood firm for now is so on brand with the current Democratic Party.

Hopefully they learn from this debacle and when the same situation occurs in January they stand firm and don't sell out the millions of Americans who stand to lose affordable healthcare again.

"A lie told once remains a lie, but a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth," Joseph Goebbels.

It's always been about propping up the ACA. The entire scheme was unsustainable from its onset. The Dems tried to back-door it with expired Covid subsidies. And then there is the Federal reimbursements for ILLEGALS at the State level. So let's stop propagating that lie, too.

The Dems tried to hold the Country hostage to extort the power they lost in the last general election and regain key positions in last month's election.

Nobody plays dirty politics like the Democrats. And nobody cries foul like the Democrats when Republicans fight back.

As for the Democrat Party Brand goes, that's easy; Free food, free housing, free medical, legal pot, "no bail, no jail", de-fund the police, open borders. The Govt will take care of you as long as you are a "victim", "minority", "oppressed", or emotionally/mentally unstable.

Sorry to interrupt your insanity, but have you failed to notice that after 9 years Trump and his moron posse have NO plan for healthcare? Oh, that's right, you can't see anything your dear leader does that's wrong...which is 99% of what he does.

MAGA should shut up about the ACA until they have a viable plan to improve upon it, which they do not. This is a perfect example of how MAGA spreads divisiveness but can't govern.

It's a simple idea; if you don't like the current program, come up with a better solution. Until then, shut up about the current program, it's just pathetic to whine about it and lie about it when you have no clue what to do instead of it.

Yeah, those Democrats play dirty tricks; how dare they try to keep people on affordable healthcare. I mean, it's not like they could be out working with Russia to get their candidate elected, trying to steal an election they lost, or changing the criteria for when a Supreme Court justice can or can't be nominated with an election coming up so they can stack the court. That's been done to death already. By who? By the Republicans, of course, the real dirty politics party for those who aren't blinded by TDS.

Unlike you, the Democrats aren't stuck on trying to overturn the last election (you're still stuck not admitting Trump lost in a big way in 2020).

Yeah, those Republicans, it's a good thing they're "fighting back". What with controlling the House, the Senate, the Executive Branch, the Supreme Court, killing whoever Trump claims is a drug dealer and taking over virtually every department of our government that used to be autonomous, they're really an endangered species nowadays.

The MAGA brand is "Despite our complete ignorance and incompetence we want to run everything whether it's legal or not".

Get a clue, there's a whole world out there you're not seeing due to your TDS blinders.
