To the editor:

The talk these days rallies around democracy. Regardless of how it is used, the meaning is the same. “It’s a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people,” either directly or indirectly by representatives. Pure democracy (directly) requires the people to participate and vote directly for policies. Norway leads the field in pure democracy followed by Switzerland.
