John Raeder: Jim, there is no such thing as 'minimal due process'

Well, John, based on your reading and understanding of the Constitution, what exactly do you propose to rectify this gross conflict of our culture of “Rule of Law” vs “Human Rights”? Or, miscarriage of Justice?

From my perspective, we, the American People, have been basically put on the sidelines as our “Betters” have allowed millions upon millions of illegal aliens to cross our borders under the knowing and watchful eye of the Democrat Party and their Leftist supporters.

Not only have they watched, but they have been willing accomplices in this effort through the use of NGOs, phone Apps, and changes to verbiage (Asylum Seeker) to basically create a glide path into our country.

No matter how much you try to put lipstick on this pig, it is truly a pig. We are now left to deal with this self-imposed, disastrous invasion of strangers in our land. And yes, make no mistake, there is a vast number who are here just for the benefits, but there is also a huge criminal element, as well as a terrorist threat. Plus, no one ever talks about the potential public health threat of millions of unvaccinated/non-quarantined people who are now among us.

As for Due Process, that’s not as clear-cut as you would think. No one is entirely without due process, but the specific rights and procedures an individual receives can vary, particularly for non-citizens. While the U.S. Constitution guarantees due process to all persons within its territory, an alien's rights may differ depending on their status and whether they have established connections to the country. For example, individuals at the "threshold of initial entry" have fewer due process rights compared to those who have been admitted and developed ties. And this is speaking about legal aliens, not illegal aliens, a very clear distinction.

And all of this legal jousting doesn’t even address the practical issues created by the Left's complete disregard for our immigration laws or procedures. We now have scores of cities, towns, and municipalities struggling with exhausted budgets just trying to deal with unprecedented surges of humanity that clearly have not integrated into our society. So much so that actual Americans have had their Rights and needs pushed aside to try to accommodate these people.

So, John, instead of the handwringing and pearl-clutching that the Left is so famous for, how about offering a real and practical solution to this self-imposed crisis? Because clearly, adjudicating 10’s of millions of individual cases to satisfy your sense of justice is flat-out crazy. Otherwise, move aside and let ICE do its job.
