To the editor:

Thank you Conway School Board member Randy Davison for asking for renewed discussion on start times. For students like us, this isn’t theoretical. It’s daily life. Several years ago, Molly surveyed more than 150 MWV high schoolers about sleep. The results were unmistakable: Students averaged just 6.3 hours of sleep on school nights, far below the recommended 8-10 hours. On weekends, sleep jumped to 8.6 hours, proving the issue isn’t motivation. It’s the schedule.
