Jim Pietrangelo is a master of disinformation. There is a huge difference between misinformation and disinformation. The former is most often a mistake, while the latter is deliberate.
Jay Burnham is the cherry-picker. His attempt to find a "dictionary" definition to fit his narrative and therefore dispute his opponent's argument, is facetious. Here are the actual "dictionary.com" definitions of woke:

Obviously, Mr. Pietrangelo is referring to this second meaning, using "woke" to disparage Liberal orthodoxy.
