To the editor:

Over the weekend, a group of eight Democratic senators — including Sens. Shaheen and Hassan — voted with Senate Republicans to end the federal government shutdown. They did so without securing concrete concessions on extending the Affordable Care Act subsidies that make it possible for so many of our neighbors to afford healthcare.
