To the editor:

I agree with Mark Hounsell’s column asserting that the proposed location for a casino in Conway is a really bad idea. Hounsell exhorts people of faith and spiritual leaders to pray that this casino is never built. I am often amazed that some people feel the need to invoke their faith when there are very compelling reasons, unrelated to religious beliefs, that are more persuasive.

Casinos should be kept in the desert and reseved for adult entertainment, not family destinations.

Exposing children to gambling and alcohol use is never a good idea. If you want to gamble, take a trip to sin city. Do not bring sin city to our nieghborhoods ! Lets keep americas small towns small.....
