To the editor:For over 25 years, the Mount Washington Valley Kiwanis Club has sponsored fund raisers to support its programs. The Kiwanis coffee booth at the Fryeburg Fair is one of our busiest, with over 60 Kiwanians and Kennett Key Club members volunteering to work the booth. All the money raised during fair week and throughout the year goes to Kiwanis Club programs for the children of the valley and the surrounding areas. These include scholarships, the Kiwanis dental program, and two very popular programsAngels and Elves, and Camp Sunshine.Many local businesses contributed products, services, time and money to help make the fair booth a success. Kiwanis would like to thank Bev-Tech Inc., Bob Bryant Wrecker Service, Crest Auto World, Green Mountain Coffee, Minuteman Press, Redstone Variety, Saco River Medical Group, and The 1785 Inn and Restaurant for their generosity and continued support.With the help of these organizations and our many loyal customers, Kiwanis can continue programs that improve the lives of the children of the valley. We are fortunate to live in an area where people take the time to make a difference. Thanks again, and see you next year at the Fryeburg Fair.
