MANCHESTER — Mike Pence is determined not to be the modern version of William King, William Wheeler or Charles Fairbanks.

The three — vice presidents under Franklin Pierce, Rutherford B. Hayes and Theodore Roosevelt, respectively — have receded into the mists of history, virtually unknown today, asterisks in the American story.

Pence is going nowhere. As far as the botched election goes he could not do anything even if he wanted to and he did not want to. That is how he will be remembered. same is true of the supreme court who should have sized the moment to to drag everything out of the closet that was wrong with the election. I would be saying the same thing if the election was rigged for Trump against Biden.
